How we look after your data
Last updated October 2026. This is a translation; if the versions differ, the Danish version applies.
Who is responsible?
BitTech IT ApS, Stamholmen 193F, 1. tv., 2650 Hvidovre, Denmark, CVR 37576352, is the controller of the data described here. Contact us at support@bittech.dk or +45 71 99 23 19.
When you start a trial
We process the details you enter in the form: your company name, your name, your work email, your phone number (if you provide it) and the number of employees. We also record your IP address and browser type to prevent misuse.
We use this information to set up the trial, send you the API key and guide, and contact you about the trial and a possible subscription. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to enter into an agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in preventing misuse and following up with business customers (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Data from a trial that doesn’t become a subscription is deleted no later than 12 months after the trial ends.
When you use PhishGuard
When an employee asks PhishGuard to analyse an email, we process its subject, sender, recipient, text, links and technical headers, along with the name, type and size of any attachments. We don’t receive the attachments themselves. Only the emails an employee chooses to have analysed are processed.
Here we process the data on your behalf as our customer. You are the controller and BitTech IT ApS is the processor. The processing is governed by the data processing agreement included in our terms.
The email text is stored encrypted (AES-256) so you can see your analysis history. Data is sent encrypted between Outlook, our servers and our sub-processors.
Sub-processors
- Anthropic PBC (USA) performs the AI analysis with the Claude model. Transfers to the USA are based on a valid transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR.
- Microsoft provides the email systems we use to send confirmations and API keys.
Cookies
phishguard.dk does not set any analytics or marketing cookies.
